The Addressbook is a very useful tool which I recommend everyone use. In this tutorial I hope to cover the most useful tools that can be used with the Address book.
To start the Address book in windows XP Click Start > run > wab Adding a new contact Always make sure that you have an entry of yourself in your address book. This will allow you to send your own information to other people, so that they can keep accurate information about you. Adding a contact is self-explanatory, Click File > New Contact and enter as much information about the person as you can. In this case you should know all your own information. Don't worry if you don't fill in all the fields, they are not all required. Sending your Business Card (.vcf file) To send your "Business Card" to your friends, family and/or Business Associates follow these steps: Step 1: Select your name from the address book. Step 2: Click File > Export > Business Card (vcard) Step 3: Attach the file to an email you send to your friends. If you receive a .vcf file from one of your friends save it to your harddisk, Open your addressbook and Click File > Import > Business Card (Vcard). Backing Up your address book: Its easy to back up your addressbook so you don't loose all your contacts when you move to a new computer, or install a new operating system. Click on File > Export > Addressbook (WAB) Restoring your addressbook is just as easy. Click File > Import > Addressbook (WAB) |
